Wirral Met College is inviting local employers to play a key role in shaping the future workforce during National Careers Week (2–6 March 2026).
We are passionate about preparing our students for the world of work, and direct engagement with employers is one of the most powerful ways to bring careers education to life. By sharing your experience and insight, you can help young people better understand career pathways, workplace expectations and the skills employers value most.
How your business can get involved
We offer a range of flexible opportunities to suit your availability and interests:
- Deliver a careers talk or industry presentation
- Run an interactive workshop or masterclass
- Support mock interviews or provide CV feedback
- Host a pop-up stand at one of our campuses
- Offer a workplace tour for a group of students
- Take part in a panel discussion or virtual Q&A
- Set an industry challenge or competition
If you have a different idea, we would love to hear it – we are always open to new ways of connecting employers with students.
Why take part?
Getting involved is not only valuable for students, it also benefits your organisation:
- Connect with future talent and potential recruits
- Promote your industry and raise your brand profile
- Strengthen your organisation’s social impact in the local community
- Support staff development through mentoring and engagement opportunities
- Build links with one of the region’s largest further education colleges
Your involvement can make a lasting difference to young people’s confidence, aspirations and career direction, while helping to develop a strong, skilled workforce for the Wirral.
