Sole Survivor PTSD Support CIC has been working with Wirral Chamber of Commerce through business support delivered in partnership with Wirral Council, helping the organisation strengthen its commercial foundations and plan for sustainable growth.
Since March, Sole Survivor has accessed enhanced business support through the programme, working closely with Patsy Crocker to review key areas of the organisation and identify opportunities for development.
For a community interest company delivering specialist PTSD and trauma support, having the right structure in place is essential. The support has helped Sole Survivor gain greater clarity around its service offer, marketing approach and financial model, enabling the organisation to plan for growth in a realistic and sustainable way.
The support has also helped the CIC strengthen its understanding of procurement pathways, cost modelling and social impact measurement. These areas are particularly important when demonstrating value to potential funders, commissioners and partner organisations.
Sole Survivor’s PTSD Awareness Workshop and Keyworking Practitioner Training Day are innovative services designed to support individuals, communities and professionals through a trauma-informed approach. Through the business support received, the organisation has been able to better articulate the value of these services, refine its positioning and identify the right target clients who could benefit from its expertise.
The result has been a stronger sense of commercial clarity and confidence.
Sole Survivor now has a clearer understanding of its market, its value proposition and the steps needed to build a sustainable growth pathway, while continuing to deliver meaningful impact within the community.
This support is important because it allows Sole Survivor to focus on what it does best: delivering peer-led trauma support and professional training, while reducing uncertainty around long-term viability.
Through the partnership between Wirral Council and Wirral Chamber of Commerce, Sole Survivor has been supported not only as a CIC, but as an organisation delivering vital PTSD and trauma-informed support across Wirral communities.
